POLICE today (Friday) issued a safety warning after a bull ran off while being loaded onto a lorry in Loppington.
They are appealing for sightings of the 15-month Welsh Black bull which escaped on Wednesday morning as it was about to be taken to market.
“It was spotted in a field in the village yesterday but when the farmer got there, it had disappeared again,” said a police spokesman.
“If people spot the bull, which is obviously black and has horns, our advice is not to approach it but to contact the police so arrangements can be made with the farmer to collect it.
“Although we have no idea of its exact whereabouts, it’s likely to be still in the Loppington area, probably in a field and could be mingling with other cattle.
