by Naomi Dunning, Chester Chronicle

BISHOP Heber High school girls’ triumph at Chester and district hockey tournament.

Six teams from the area competed for the title.

Heber started the evening well with a 3-0 win over Abbeygate. They then went on to defeat King’s School by two goals to nil.

In the semi final after some end to end play, Heber beat Queen’s School 3-0. They then went on to defeat King’s again in the final 4-0, taking their chances well.

School sports coordinator Jayne Haggis was delighted for the girls, as they had kept a clean score sheet all night and scored some very skilful goals.
