POLICE are reminding homeowners to keep doors and windows locked overnight after two similar thefts at Crewe.
Between 7.30 and 9am on Sunday, a thief entered a semi-detached house at Timbrell Avenue through the front door, which was unlocked, and stole a handbag from the hallway before running off.
In a separate incident at around 10pm on Monday, a thief used an unlocked kitchen door to get into a house on Nelson Street, stole a handbag and ran off.
