BRINDLEY Arts Centre is preparing to welcome a litany of stars through its doors over the next few months.
The theatre’s Autumn season lineup includes an eclectic mix of new shows, films and classes to suit the tastes of all Halton residents.
Two big names from TV comedy feature in the form of deadpan American comic Rich Hall of QI and Have I Got News For You and funny girl Jan Ravens from Dead Ringers. Also on the bill are multi-million selling music artists like Dennis Locorriere from Dr Hook and 60s icon Georgie Fame, plus top folk artists like Martin Carthy and Karine Polwart.
Lovers of classical music can enjoy the delights of the Mid Wales Opera performing the Mozart favourite The Marriage of Figaro.
Halton’s own bluegrass festival; Bluegrass and Beyond returns for a second year, while family shows including everybody’s favourite pantomime Cinderella will also be on offer.
The Brindley panto has traditionally been a post Christmas event but this year it has been extended to run for a full month from mid-December.
The festive period features a special treat for fans of dance with a special Christmas Ballet which includes The Nutcracker.
The hilarious Lip Service Theatre Company present a new comedy musical in the form of Desperate To Be Doris, featuring the songs of Doris Day performed by a specially recruited community choir.
The autumn programme will also feature a full film season, free exhibitions, workshops and classes on a range of topics.
