POLICE are still at the scene of a two-vehicle collision which has closed a section of the A49 near Tarporley.
The incident, which happened at 8.50am today (Saturday), occurred at the junction of the A49 and the A534 in Ridley.
Police and ambulance teams attended the scene of the collision and the A49 road was closed both ways between the A534 junction and the Red Fox pub traffic lights in Tarporley.
A Cheshire Police spokeswoman confirmed there was one casualty, who has been taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital via North West Air Ambulance with head injuries.
