CONTROVERSIAL former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott’s son David will find out on Friday if he will be Labour candidate for the Weaver Vale constituency this May.
David Prescott, 39, says he couldn’t turn down the opportunity to ‘come home’ to Cheshire as he bids to beat competition from rival Labour candidates including Halton Brook councillor John Stockton, Labour Party policy worker Ben Johnson and former Ellesmere Port and Neston council leader Justin Madders.
“I have long and deep Cheshire roots and I have always seen it as my family home,” said Mr Prescott, who is married to BBC producer Rozlynn and has a nine-month- old daughter, Ava Grace.
