A DISTRAUGHT student is offering a reward for the return of her laptop with all her work stored on it.
Joy Spence had been sleeping on the sofa at her mum’s house in West Street in Crewe.on Saturday when a burglar sneaked in at 6.15am and took the computer along with her handbag and purse containing around £80.
Joy, a counselling and beauty therapy student at South Cheshire College in Crewe, said: “He walked through the front door, and I opened my eyes but couldn’t see because I didn’t have my glasses on.
“Although the money means quite a lot, it’s the laptop I really need back. It’s got all my college work on it, and it’s not likely to be much good for selling as the battery is really dodgy.”
Police have told Joy that ‘door triers’ are responsible, and that the front door should have been locked. The laptop is silver with a navy keyboard, and has lilies for the screen background.
