12-year-old boy attacked for mobile phone in quiet Chester suburb

THUGS who pushed a 12-year-old boy to the ground before making off with his mobile phone, are being sought by police.
An investigation has been launched into the attack which happened at about 4.55pm on Sunday (March 17) when the victim was walking along the footpath between Chester Road and Lucerne Close in Huntington, playing a game on his mobile phone.
As he became aware of two youths walking towards him, one of them pushed him to the floor and stole his phone before the two youths fled in the direction of Lucerne Close.
The boy was not injured as a result of the incident but was shaken.
The first offender is described as white, aged between 15 and 16 years old and between 5'7" and 5'8" tall.
Police in Hampshire are trying to track down the owner of a life-size stuffed toy tiger which sparked a huge alert in response to fears it was a real animal which had escaped....
