SIXTY jobs are under threat at a factory in Flint.
Kimberly-Clark Professional has started consultation on the potential closure of its Delyn Mill, which manufactures products for Kimberly-Clark Professional.
The firm has said its other Kimberly-Clark Professional facilities on the Flint site, Coleshill Mill, which supplies branded toilet roll, facial tissue and wipes, will remain operational.
It is expected, if it goes ahead the mill will close by July 2013.
Euan Anderson of Kimberly-Clark Professional said: “It is with great regret that we start the consultation on the future of Delyn Mill as part of changes to our European business.
“All employees will be treated respectfully and fairly during this stressful time. These are difficult decisions to take, but they are necessary to improve our competitive position and make Kimberly-Clark Professional’s European business stronger.”
