DETECTIVES investigating the disappearance of Flintshire vet Catherine Gowing are searching a site in Sealand.
Forensic teams and police divers are today combing a location in the Manor Road area, close to West Green, where a forensics tent has been erected.
A spokesman for North Wales Police said: “As part of the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Catherine Gowing, a large number of calls have been received from the public.
“As a result police are securing several scenes in the Flintshire area in an attempt to establish their significance.
“One of the areas which continues to be searched is the Manor Road area of Sealand and the tent which has been set up there is a standard piece of police apparatus which can be used as part of the forensic examination of a site .
“There is no more information available at this time.”
Catherine, who worked at Evans Veterinary Practice in Mold and lived in Cae Isa in nearby New Brighton has not been seen since she was captured on CCTV leaving Asda Queensferry at around 8.40pm on Friday, October 12.
Clive Sharp 46, of no fixed abode but from Bethesda in Gwynedd, has been charged with her murder.
He will next appear in court on January 7 when he will be asked to enter a plea.
