Award-winning clubland icon Sonique has been lined up for a spectacular Easter gig in Halton.
And rugby legend Martin Offiah is also set to hit the borough the next day with a showstopping DJ set of his own.
Londoner Sonique – a childhood friend of fellow DJ Judge Jules – is best known for her three club and dance music hits I Put A Spell On You, It Feels So Good and Sky.
She also scooped a Brit Award in 2001 for Best British Female Solo Artist.
Now Sonique is set to hit Halton after bosses at The View2 in Widnes lined her up for a two-hour set on March 22.
A spokesman said: “Sonique is world famous for her unique improvised singing over her own up-tempo tunes and playing house music sets at clubs such as Cream, Gatecrasher and Manumission. She really is one of the biggest names in Clubland!”
The following day, Easter Sunday, Martin Offiah OBE is set to play a one-hour set at the same venue.
The spokesman added: “Martin is the most famous rugby league player the British game has ever produced and he has now turned his talented hand to his second love – music.
“He will play an exclusive set and then mingle with clubbers signing autographs.
“His style of uplifting vocal sexy house and high energy behind the decks delivers a fantastic atmosphere.”
