Dinner date for Widnes care home

DOZENS of elderly residents from a Widnes care home enjoyed a Come Dine With Me style dinner party at a new care home in Liverpool last week. A group of 20 residents from Widnes Hall in Ditton travelled to newly-opened Hurst Park Court in Huyton for a three course meal and entertainment. Guests were treated to an impressive menu, created and served by chefs Debbie Cooper and Julie Edwards. Entertainment was provided by 17-year-old singer Ian Murphy. Widnes Hall home manager Jennie Wright said: “I want to say a big thank you to everyone at Hurst Park Court who worked so hard and hosted a great afternoon. Story continues ADVERTISEMENT “It was lovely for our residents to go somewhere new and meet new people. “There was a lot of tired but happy residents returning home after a great afternoon. We look forward to hosting Hurst Park Court at Widnes Hall for another event in the near future.” Widnes Hall is also operated by Ideal Care Homes and offers residential and specialist dementia care to 68 people.
