Investigation launched in Blacon after child was approached on street

POLICE are investigating after reports an eight-year-old girl was approached by two people in a car in Blacon last night (Thursday).
At 6.50pm officers received reports that the child had been approached by a man and a woman on Stratford Road.
Cheshire police have now launched an official investigation into the incident.
A spokesperson said:
“At the moment we are currently in the process of trying to establish whether this was an innocent encounter or something untoward and enquiries are continuing.”
