ONE man has been injured in a multi-car pile-up on the M53 by Ellesmere Port Docks this morning (Friday).
The 25-year-old driver was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital by ambulance after the collision, which involved seven cars and happened on the southbound slip road to the motorway at junction 8 just before 8am.
The man is currently being treated for glass in his eye.
The motorway slip road remains closed as fire, police and highways teams tackle the incident, which has seen debris strewn across the road.
There was significant traffic disruption following the incident, with congestion reported as far back as the Little Stanney junction 10.
