POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man and woman from Middlewich were injured in a serious collision in Winsford.
Emergency services were called to the A54 Chester Lane near to its junction with Clay Lane at 12.09 on Saturday (September 22) following a collision between a motorcycle and a tractor. Both vehicles were travelling towards Winsford at the time of the collision.
The motorcyclist, a 42-year-old man from Middlewich, and his passenger, a 42-year-old woman from Middlewich, sustained serious injuries.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “The man was taken to North Staffordshire Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
“The woman was initially taken to Leighton Hospital but has since been transferred to North Staffordshire Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition. The driver of the tractor was uninjured.”
