POLICE are appealing for information after a man was assaulted and his camera equipment stolen.
Detectives say an amateur photographer had been taking pictures of the lighthouse on Talacre Beach when he was hit on the head while walking over sand dunes back to his vehicle. A bag containing all his camera equipment was stolen.
The incident happened at about 6pm on Saturday, October 20, but North Wales Police has now decided to appeal for the public’s help.
The equipment taken included a specialist backpack with compartments for a camera, lenses, a tripod and other accessories. There were also printed photographs and a memory card containing family pictures.
Detective Constable Mark Griffiths said: “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area.
