Police appeal after Chester assault

POLICE are appealing for information following an assault in Chester.

At about 12.05pm on Thursday September 20 a 25-year-old woman, was walking through the alley between Commonhall Street and Old Hall Place when she was approached by a man.

The man assaulted her, grabbing her by the arm, before she broke free and left the area before making off in the direction of Commonhall Street.

The woman was not injured in the incident.

The offender is described as white, in his late 30s to early 40s, between 5'9" and 6' tall with a slim to medium build.

He had blond hair and was carrying a satchel bag, and is described as possibly having a speech impediment.

Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 11 quoting incident number 439 of 22 September 2012.
