A RUNCORN man was punched and threatened with a knife as he waited for a train.
The 35-year-old victim was attacked by three youths who stole his mobile phone and £10 in cash.
He had been standing on the Liverpool bound platform at Hartford railway station in Cheshire.
The robbers ran off and drove away in a dark blue car believed to be a Renault.
DC Mark Douglas, of British Transport Police, said: “This appears to have been an unprovoked and random attack on a man who was simply trying to make his way home.”
