by Simon Halewood, Crewe Chronicle

A SECOND man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Cranage businesswoman Diana Lee.

The body of the 54-year-old Parklands Cattery owner was discovered in the torched garage of her Byley Lane home on Thursday, August 9.

A post-mortem examination revealed the cause of death to be ‘head injuries’.

A police spokesman said: “A 47-year-old Hale man, who was known to the victim, is currently in custody assisting the police with their enquiries.”

Following Mrs Lee’s death, another man from Hale was arrested on suspicion of murder, but has since been released on bail.
