A TEENAGER has been arrested following a dramatic three hour police hunt through the night.
At just after 10.20pm on Thursday (October 25) police were called to Sumner Road in Blacon after reports of an assault.
Dozens of police searched the area for a 19-year-old local boy, who is believed to have been staying with a friend when he allegedly lost his temper and started trashing the house before assaulting a woman.
The force’s helicopter circled the area for more than three hours before officers discovered the teenager at 1.28am.
He was arrested at the scene for criminal damage, breach of a court order and assault.
