TICKETS for the third Chester Rocks extravaganza have gone on sale this morning (Friday).
Jessie J, The Wanted and X-Factor’s Union J are some of the acts who will be lighting up the stage at the city’s annual summer music festival which takes place at Chester Racecourse during the weekend of June 15-16.
Organisers promised an unmissable experience at the event’s official launch at The Weighing Room last night, assuring fans that Chester Rocks continues to get bigger and better every year.
And giving a special sneak preview of the excitement was Max George from The Wanted who turned up as the guest of honour at the launch.
The 24-year-old, rumoured to be dating actress Lindsay Lohan, was mobbed by teenage fans as he arrived at the venue.
It won’t be the first time Max and his bandmates have wowed Chester crowds - the group played at the first Rocks event back in 2011, but this time they will be the headline acts to crowds that have previously reached about 15,000.
And proving the band haven’t forgotten their trip to the Roodee, Max said: “We loved performing at the first Chester Rocks, it was one of our most memorable gigs.
“I just hope we get more lager this time!”
More acts will be announced in the coming weeks but in the meantime you can buy tickets from www.chesterrocks.com
