by Lois York, Flintshire Chronicle

POLICE are appealing for information after 53 cars were damaged in Queensferry last night.

North Wales Police was called at 7.52pm by a member of the public who saw several youths smashing windows of cars parked at Wilson’s Car Auction on Station Road.

One transit van was also set alight.

The youths, described as three males, two wearing dark tops and another wearing a light top made off towards the river bank.

Crime scene investigators are at the car auction this morning.

Sgt Chris Griffiths said: “We need the public to help us locate these individuals who have caused widespread and costly damage.

“Anyone with information should call North Wales Police on 101.”
