UFO X-file revealed after 21-year wait

VISITORS to a UFO discussion evening in Runcorn will learn information released for the first time about two decades of flying saucer sightings. A team of investigators from the British UFO Studies Centre are visiting the Waterloo Community Centre on Tuesday at 7.30pm to reveal never before released information about one of Britain's greatest extra-terrestrial mysteries. Author Tim Matthews will reveal his findings on the famous Rendlesham Forest UFO incident. In December 1980, American servicemen based in East Anglia reported and chased several UFOs seen near an RAF airbase. The base commander, Colonel Charles Halt, wrote a report about this and a tape-recording of the incident was made as the events unfolded. Story continues ADVERTISEMENT Now, more than 20 years later, some 155 pages of previously classified Government documents on the incident have been released to researchers.
