A WIDNES baby is battling back from a rare form of cancer after specialists found a golf ball-sized tumour behind one of her eyes.
Little Lauren Ashton, who is 12-months-old, recently returned to Widnes after a undergoing an operation in a top London hospital to remove the tumour from her left eye.
Her concerned mother, Kelly Newby, had demanded to see an eye specialist after spotting a problem with her daughter's eyesight two months ago.
Kelly claims the cancer in her daughter's eye went undetected when she visited a GP, so she took matters into her own hands and took her to see a specialist.
