Stop this bullying

A COUPLE are demanding action after their son was found hanging following a 'campaign of bullying' against him. The parents of Shaun Noonan, 14, believe he was making a 'call for help' after being subjected to assaults including a 'happy slapping' attack. Gary and Diane Noonan from Whitby made the bullying claims at the inquest in Chester on Friday. They say that during the 'happy slapping' incident a bully made a flying drop-kick at Shaun's back while others filmed the assault on a mobile phone. The pair say their son was also headbutted, thrown into a ditch, stamped on, chased and had an earring pulled out by boys at Sutton High School. Story continues ADVERTISEMENT On April 18 Mrs Noonan found Shaun hanging from his school tie inside a wardrobe in his bedroom. Shaun, an air cadet who wanted to join the RAF, died in hospital six days later. Ex-soldier Gary and hospital payroll officer Diane are angry with Sutton High, despite the school saying it had done 'everything possible' to help. Mr Noonan said: 'I want schools to stand up and say they have a problem with bullying. Sutton High denies it has, but there were four physical attacks on Shaun.
