VETERAN Crewe and Nantwich Labour MP Gwyneth Dunwoody took time out from her busy Parliamentary and constituency schedule to go to the cinema.
Mrs Dunwoody, who is the longest-serving woman MP in the House of Commons, was given a tour the showpiece Reel Cinema at the Phoenix Leisure Park in Eaton Street, Crewe.
The five-screen cinema, which opened last November, is the first of a generation of new build, medium-sized cinemas aimed at areas with a population of about 100,000.
Head of Reel Cinemas, Kailash Suri said: 'It was a pleasure to show Mrs Dunwoody around and I think she was impressed by what she saw.
'We have now been open for four months and the response from the public has been excellent.'
