Jul 4 2007

The Chronicle

A SOUL night at Weaverham's Owley Wood Club on Friday struck the right note with music lovers, packing the place out and raising £1,276 for St Luke's Hospice.

Popular North West band The Soul Society topped the bill with support from singer Pete Walker.

The event was organised by former singer turned playwright Will Butters.

He said: 'It was a fantastic night and I would like to thank everyone who helped to raise the atmosphere in the club to one of the best.

'Praise came from lots of people there. They loved the entertainment.'
