Factory set to close next year

NEARLY 300 jobs are to go when a Mid-Cheshire factory closes its doors next year.
Staff were told of the August 2008 closure in a Monday meeting at the Rank Hovis and McDougal factory in Middlewich.
The factory has produced household names such as Bisto gravy granules and Saxa table salt in Middlewich for decades.
It employs 180 people in manufacturing and a further 100 occupy administration roles.
