WIDNES secured their first success in South Lancashire/Cheshire One against a determined Aspull.

Michael Lamb, Peter Wright (2), Kevin Leadbetter and Peter Wright crossed for the winners, with Leadbetter converting twice.

Aspull kept in touch with three touchdowns, a penalty and two goals.
