THERE is still time to get your tickets to see some of the country's top pop bands right here in Mid Cheshire.
Pop sensations Sugababes and legendary rockers Status Quo will be playing at Delamere Forest as part of a series of concerts at the picturesque open-air venue, and there are still tickets available.
Status Quo will be appearing on Saturday, July 31, while Sugababes will take to the stage the following evening.
They follow hard on the heels of a sell-out gig by Paul Weller at the venue last month.
The concerts have been organised by the Forestry Commission and are part of a series of gigs being staged in forests across the country.
Status Quo have had more than 50 British hit singles, with more than 20 in the Top 10. They are perhaps best known for their 1990 album Rockin' All Over The Years, with seven millions copies sold worldwide.
The support act for the Quo will be Mike Peters from internationally known band The Alarm, who achieved success on both sides of the Atlantic. Mike's debut solo album, Breathe, made the Top 5 in the UK in 1994.
The Brit Award-winning Sugababes first hit the UK chart in 2000 with the single Overload. A successful first album, One Touch, largely written by the group, soon followed.
Gates open on both days at 6pm. The support acts will be on stage at 7.30pm and the main acts take over at 8.45pm.
Tickets for Status Quo are £26, while Sugababes tickets are £20, with an additional £1 booking fee.
