Bullfrog is back

Jul 14 2004

Northwich Chronicle

A SEASONED folk performer will appear in Middlewich later this month, courtesy of the Salt Town Poets.

Bernard Wrigley, aka the Bolton Bullfrog, is performing his own brand of stories, songs and silliness at the Boar's Head Hotel.

A Middlewich veteran, Bernard played the inaugural Folk and Boat Festival in 1990 and has been a repeat visitor to the town ever since.

He appeared in the film Brassed Off and has been on television programmes Emmerdale, Dinner Ladies, Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights, Cops, Cold Feet and Last of the Summer Wine. He has also appeared in Coronation Street so many times he has lost count!

Tickets for the gig, on Friday, July 30, are on sale at £5 and can be reserved by phoning the box office on 01606 833404 or e-mailing salttownprom2004@aol.com

Doors open at 7.30pm and the performance starts at 8pm. There is limited space at the venue and early bookings are advised.
