Icons of the 80s

May 12 2004

by Julia Thorley, Crewe Chronicle

GRAB your neon socks and throw on your frilly shirt for a music extravaganza with some of the biggest names in 1980s pop at Capesthorne Hall, near Macclesfield, on Friday, June 4.

The star-studded 80s Night includes Phil Oakey of The Human League, and the silk-voiced Tony Hadley.

Joining them will be Peter Cox and Richard Drummie of Go West fame, and infamous front-man of Kajagoogoo, Limahl.

Together they will take you on a musical journey through the decade that fashion forgot, belting out a whole host of hits including The Human League's Don't You Want Me?, Mirror Man and (Keep Feeling) Fascination, Go West's King of Wishful Thinking and Call Me, Spandau Ballets' Gold and Through the Barricades, and Limahl's Too Shy and The Never Ending Story.

The event is in the beautiful grounds of Capesthorne Hall. A breathtaking laser display will bring the event to a close.

To book tickets, phone BDW on 0870 608 8282 between 9am and 5pm daily (calls will be charged at national rate), or log on to www.bdw-promotes.co.uk
