VIJAY Singh's victory in the US Tour-opening Mercedes-Benz Championship in Hawaii has lifted the Fijian up two places to fifth in the world.
The 43-year-old was the last player to dislodge Tiger Woods from the number one spot, but fell from second to seventh last year.
Singh's win by three shots over Australian Adam Scott was the 30th of his career in America and made him only the second player - after Woods, of course - to top 50 million US dollars.
"Hopefully it doesn't stop there," he said afterwards. "I feel good and I'm looking forward to the season."
