CHILDREN in Blacon are playing underneath the arches.
The youngsters, of the Arches Primary School, created archways out of willow in their school playground and woodland.
The junior children worked with artist Sarah Hayes to create the structures, which will be used by all the children at the school.
Governor Jane Beattie said: “We couldn’t have achieved it without the invaluable help of two University of Chester students and the school’s classroom assistants.”
The school received a contribution toward costs from Cheshire’s Year of Gardens.
